Astonishing: Former Steelers LB Starts Comeback
Pittsburgh Kwon Alexander is back in action as he starts his recuperation from an Achilles tear on the field. After his season concluded, the former linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers sent an update on social media detailing his progress.
The 29-year-old Alexander joined the Steelers during training camp the previous year and was a key member of the defense from the start of the campaign. Alongside Elandon Roberts and Cole Holcomb in a three-man rotation, Alexander seemed to be an integral member of a team poised to turn around Pittsburgh’s troubled linebacker room.
That ended early when Alexander sustained a non-contact injury in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers, ending his 2023 campaign.
He’s returning at the moment. Following several months of rehabilitation, Alexander was shown practicing on the field with a trainer in the film “1st day back in cleats.”
In the offseason, the Steelers acquired Patrick Queen, which most likely put an end to Alexander’s comeback. They’re hoping that Holcomb returns by the beginning of the season so they can have a three-headed monster in 2024.
