The Steelers are bringing him back

The Pittsburgh Steelers may consider a trade for their former wideout.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for wide receiver help and may have an option in a former player. JuJu Smith-Schuster is still on the New England Patriots’ roster, but if he’s on the move, why not return to where his NFL career began?

Former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats was pitched the idea by his co-host on a recent episode of the Arthur Moats Experience. When the idea was proposed, he was intrigued, and both hosts agreed that it would work.

“I’m definitely on that train,” Moats replied. “He’s still under contract in New England, [though].”

Patriots place JuJu Smith-Schuster on IR, ending injury-riddled year

Smith-Schuster was the Steelers’ second-round pick in 2017, and he went on to start 51 games, catching 323 passes for 3,855 yards and 26 touchdowns. He won his only Pro Bowl while in Pittsburgh, and by the time he left, he had established himself as the team’s top wide receiver.

He eventually signed a one-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs and won the Super Bowl. He then signed a three-year contract with the Patriots, beginning in 2023. This will be his second year on the contract.

Steelers report. Gerry Dulac stated that the team could still be in the running for a “significant” trade. If they’re looking for a wide receiver, they might consider Smith-Schuster’s return.
