Andreas Weimann, a West Brom loan player, is unconcerned about his future and is entirely focused on the Baggies’ drive for promotion. During the January transfer window, the Midlands team moved quickly to get him on a temporary basis from Bristol City, another Championship team.

For Carlos Corberan’s team, Weimann, 32, has netted two goals in eight games. At the moment, they occupy the fifth position in the table.

The assailant has increased West Brom’s offensive depth and competition. He has also given their ranks some valuable experience.

His Bristol City contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and as things stand, he will become a free agent in late June. At this point, it is unclear if the Baggies will make him a long-term offer.

According to an interview with Klicker, Weimann gave this update on his condition: “No, since I still have some huge games with West Bromwich and crucial games ahead of me.” A lot is still going on. I’m focused on my work at West Bromwich right now, hoping to make it to the play-offs and possibly even promoted. I’ll be free in the summer.

“If everything goes as planned, they may extend a contract offer to me; if not, it’s still possible that I’ll be able to find work with another team that is vying for promotion. Now that we’re playing for something, I’m enjoying it without feeling pressed for time or stressed out. We’ll see what transpires during the summer.”

The 22-cap international from Austria has been a member of Bristol City’s roster since 2018. He has made 215 appearances for his parent club and netted 51 goals, including one earlier this season.

Weimann has also had stints with Derby County and Aston Villa in the past.In an attempt to regain their momentum, West Brom will play two games this weekend: one at home against Watford and one away against Millwall. This is their first action since the international break.
