West Brom run rule over Everton and Wolves stars as player says goodbye to club

A report claims that West Brom is dominating two center-backs for Everton and the Wolves.

Eddie Jones of Everton and Muhamed Diomande, a teenager from Wolves, participated in the under-21 team’s game on Monday night, according to sister publication Express & Star. After playing the first half, Diomande took Jones’ place for the second.

Jones’s Goodison Park contract expires this summer, and his appearance for the Baggies raises the possibility that he may leave the team. This season, the 19-year-old has made ten appearances for the Merseyside club in the Premier League 2.

Regarding Diomande, he joined Wolves, the Black Country rivals of West Brom, in July 2022. This season, he has made eight appearances in the Under-18 Premier League.

Richard Beale’s side defeated Leeds United 4-2 to close up their campaign, and both players ended up on the winning side. Josh Maja, a member of the first squad, continued his recuperation from an ankle injury by scoring a brace in the first half. With Fenton Heard and Harry Whitwell hitting their marks as well, West Brom ended up 21st out of 26 teams.

At this point in the campaign, Jones and Diomande’s presence are not unusual; let’s see what they do next. Most young players receive advance notice from the club regarding their future status, and if not, they are allowed to speak with other teams. This allows them ample time to adjust to the significant changes they will be facing at a young age.

In other news, Ronnie Hollingshead, the academy goalie, has said Alvechurch farewell. After spending a loan season with Hednesford the previous year, the 19-year-old returned to senior football with the Southern Premier team in January.

“Huge thank you to everyone involved at Alvechurch, the fans, staff, and players,” he tweeted. I’m hoping for the best for the team going forward.

Hollingshead, a native of Hereford, has 11 Wales caps, ranging from the under-15 to the under-21 divisions. He has an agreement with the Hawthorns that expires in the summer of 2025. He appeared in six games in the Premier League 2 before moving to Alvechurch in January, with one clean sheet.
