As of Tuesday afternoon, DraftKings Sportsbook has the Pittsburgh Steelers listed as the most likely destination for Fields in 2024, surpassing the odds of him staying with the Bears. The odds of Fields playing for the Steelers are -125, indicating a $125 risk to win $100, while the odds of him remaining with Chicago are +200.

The shift in odds is attributed to comments made by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Schefter, known for reliable information, mentioned that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a strong admirer of Fields, making Pittsburgh a noteworthy contender for the quarterback.

Although it’s not certain that the Bears will trade Fields, there’s a growing belief that they may be inclined to draft Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick. Additionally, if they decide to trade back, they could secure a significant return, making it more likely for them to retain Fields.

The Steelers have indicated that Kenny Pickett will need to compete for a starting position, but the potential acquisition of Fields suggests they are open to an upgrade. In such a scenario, Pickett might find himself competing for a backup role.
