Hibs issue injury update as Joe Newell reveals Rangers contract offer
Hibernian FC has provided an injury update ahead of their upcoming fixtures, while midfielder Joe Newell has revealed receiving an offer from Rangers.
Hibs manager Jack Ross confirmed that midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes is set to undergo surgery after suffering a knee injury in training. The extent of Doyle-Hayes’ injury is yet to be determined, but he is expected to be sidelined for an extended period.
In addition, Ross revealed that midfielder Kyle Magennis is also facing a spell on the sidelines due to a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, midfielder Joe Newell has revealed that he received an offer from Rangers during the January transfer window. However, Newell opted to stay at Hibernian, citing his happiness at the club as the reason for rejecting the move to Rangers.
Newell’s revelation comes as Hibs prepare for their upcoming fixtures, including a crucial clash against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
