Ex-Penn State Quarterback Will Levis Receives Harsh Ranking Ahead of Upcoming Season.
Will Levis is currently not garnering favorable assessments from various online sportsbooks, finding himself ranked at the bottom by many. Despite being the projected starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, he received another setback in the eyes of FanDuel, which released its “way too early 2024 QB rankings,” placing Levis at the 32nd spot among starting NFL quarterbacks.
Having operated behind one of the league’s weakest offensive lines in the past season, Levis managed a completion rate of 58.4%, accumulating 1,808 passing yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. In his nine starts during his rookie season, he achieved a passer rating of 84.2.
Despite the current rankings, Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz expressed optimism about Levis, emphasizing his arm talent and toughness. Holz highlighted the three key qualities the team looks for in quarterbacks: decision-making, accuracy, and toughness, noting that Levis possesses these skills at a baseline level. Holz acknowledged that Levis likely aims to improve in certain areas but emphasized the promising foundation of his skills.
Fortunately for Levis, it’s still early in the offseason, and quarterback rankings may evolve. The Titans also have the opportunity to enhance their offense through free agency and the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
