Hailing from DePaul Catholic in New Jersey, Troutman is a 3-star prospect standing at 6-2 and weighing 275 pounds, according to On3. He is ranked as the 25th player in New Jersey for the current recruiting cycle. Troutman holds offers from various schools, including Rutgers, Duke, Texas A&M, Illinois, and Pitt.

Penn State’s recent recruiting success is evident with four commitments in the past three weeks. Notable additions include 4-star linebacker Dayshaun Burnett from Imani Catholic in Pittsburgh and 3-star linebacker Alex Tatsch from Greater Latrobe High.
