Crystal Palace contacted about deal for Eagles star
The Daily Mail claims that Crystal Palace has been contacted on a potential agreement to sign one of their best players from Selhurst Park for the summer.
Oliver Glasner’s appointment as Palace’s new manager gave the team fresh life, and expectations are high that they can continue to improve under the Austrian coach in the upcoming campaign.
Crystal Palace will be keen to retain onto their intriguing young players after observing how Glasner maximized their potential toward the conclusion of the previous season.
However, as Chelsea has now contacted Crystal Palace on a trade for the Frenchman, they may lose winger Michael Olise.
Olise’s contract with Crystal Palace has a £60 million release clause, and Chelsea may try to pay the sum through organized, negotiated means.
The Eagles are unlikely to be pleased with Chelsea’s interest in Olise and their aggressive move to acquire him.
Olise is reportedly of great interest to Manchester United as well, so it’s possible that Chelsea’s aggressive approach motivates the Red Devils to take action.
Erik ten Hag’s decision to stay on the coaching staff for the upcoming campaign has settled the Old Trafford giants’ managerial dilemma, allowing attention to fully shift to transfer activity.
