Jobe Bellingham, a former midfielder for Birmingham City, may provide his former team with an unexpected transfer windfall this summer, according to reports.

The former Blues academy product was present at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night to witness his older brother Jude’s victory with Real Madrid in the Champions League. The England international played for eighty-five minutes as the La Liga powerhouses defeated Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund 2-0 thanks to goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior.

Whatever happens, Bellingham Junior will be a major part of the plans at the Stadium of Light when he returns to pre-season training with Sunderland next month. This is true regardless of who is chosen as Michael Beale’s permanent replacement as assistant manager at Aston Villa this summer. But according to recent rumors, Premier League teams are reportedly interested in the 18-year-old midfielder and his Sunderland teammate Jack Clarke before the summer transfer window opens.

The Daily Mail claims that Brentford and Premier League newcomers Southampton are both interested in signing former Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United winger Clarke. It also suggests that both Premier League clubs are willing to pay up to £15 million to acquire the player, which means his former team may receive an unexpected windfall before the summer transfer window.

According to Italian news source Gazzetta dello Sport, Villa is prepared to make an offer for Douglas Luiz to Juventus and close agreements on Matias Soule and Weston McKennie, two Bianconeri players. Villa is reportedly “bent on shopping in Italy.”

The winger impressed with 11 goals and three assists in 39 games throughout the campaign, but Frosinone, Juve’s Serie A adversary, relegated Soule, an Argentina Under-20 international, after his season-long loan agreement ended. Although Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are among the Premier League teams who have been linked to him, Villa is reportedly eager to finalize a £24 million deal for the winger. They have also arranged a £16 million deal for McKennie, a former Leeds United misfit. During his half-season loan at Elland Road, the US midfielder made 20 games for the Whites, although he had little effect as Leeds were relegated from the Premier League in
