Hibs provide additional investment update as three shareholders make big Easter Road commitments
Three shareholders of Hibernian FC have committed to boosting their stakes in the club ahead of the upcoming season. Bill Foley, the owner of Bournemouth and head of the Black Knights group, has already joined as a minority investor. Additionally, Leslie Robb, Hibernian Supporters Limited (HSL), and Bydand Sports LLC have all agreed to purchase more shares in the club.
This signals significant changes in Leith for the summer, with the appointment of a new head coach imminent, likely to be David Gray following his caretaker role. The team is also set for a squad overhaul after a disappointing Premiership finish, resulting in the dismissal of Lee Johnson and Nick Montgomery.
In an official statement, Hibernian FC confirmed the successful completion of additional investment into the club. Shareholders Leslie Robb, HSL, and Bydand Sports LLC have increased their stakes with the approval of the Black Knight Football Group. Following communication with all shareholders and obtaining necessary approvals, the board finalized the investment during its recent meeting on June 4, 2024.
Hibernian will kick off their competitive fixtures in the Premier Sports Cup next month, facing Elgin City, followed by matches against Queen’s Park, Kelty Hearts, and Peterhead before shifting focus to league competition.
