Jobe Bellingham has garnered attention from the Premier League following an outstanding debut season at Sunderland.

Borussia Dortmund, a Bundesliga outfit, have been recently linked with the Sunderland midfielder, while Tottenham and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested. The latest clubs expressing interest in acquiring Bellingham’s services are Brentford and Crystal Palace, valuing the player at approximately £12 million.

During his first season with Sunderland, the 18-year-old appeared in 45 Championship matches, scoring seven goals for the Black Cats after his transfer from Birmingham the previous summer. Jobe primarily operated in midfield during the 2023-24 season but also displayed proficiency in more advanced positions, such as number nine or off the front line.

Although the duration of Bellingham’s contract with Sunderland was undisclosed upon his arrival last summer, sources indicate it still has three years remaining, as recently disclosed by The Echo. However, further details about the agreement between Sunderland and Birmingham City for Jobe have emerged.

According to The Daily Mail, Birmingham City will receive a 15% sell-on fee if Sunderland sells Jobe, as per a clause between the two clubs. The report specifies that Birmingham will receive a share of the transfer fee if a Premier League club pursues him.

Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 Championship season, Jobe participated in an in-depth video interview with Sunderland’s in-house media team, reflecting on his inaugural full senior campaign as a first-team regular.

Discussing his experience coming to Sunderland, Jobe expressed his encouragement for others to play football in the area. He praised the generosity and kindness of the people in the North East, emphasizing positive encounters on the streets. Jobe conveyed his gratitude to the fans for their support and embraced both the culture and the club, expressing his satisfaction with his integration into the area and the team. He reflected on his seamless transition and his focus on the present, indicating that thoughts about the upcoming season had not yet crossed his mind.
