Tonight’s Cardiff City transfer news as German club make star top target and coach leaves quietly
German club VfL Bochum has made Cardiff City star Josh Bowler their top transfer target this summer, according to reports.
The winger joined the Bluebirds from Blackpool in the summer of 2022 but immediately went out on loan to Olympiacos. He is currently on loan at Cardiff City and has impressed whenever he has been fit and available.
Now, according to One Football, VfL Bochum is closely monitoring Bowler’s situation and is keen to bring him to the Bundesliga next season. Bochum is unlikely to face stiff competition for Bowler, but a move abroad might be something the player would consider.
Meanwhile, Cardiff City has quietly parted ways with one of its coaches. The departure comes as Cardiff prepares for the next season, where they hope to make a strong bid for promotion.
