Cleveland Brown
The Cleveland Browns’ Early 2025 Super Bowl Odds Are a Bit Insulting
The Cleveland Browns experienced a tumultuous 2023 NFL season, marked by significant injuries to key starters like quarterback Deshaun Watson, running back Nick Chubb, and offensive tackle Jack Conklin. Despite these challenges, they managed to secure an 11-6 record, tying for the second-best in the AFC. Led by NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett and a resurgent Joe Flacco, the Browns showcased resilience and reached Super Wild Card Weekend, though they were defeated by the Houston Texans.
Heading into the offseason with notable names entering free agency and salary cap concerns, the Browns remain optimistic about their contender status for the 2024 season. However, early Super Bowl odds for 2025 at BetMGM place them at +5000, ranking them 18th among all NFL teams and 10th among AFC squads.
While not surprising that back-to-back champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, lead the AFC with +750 odds, the Browns find themselves behind teams like the Baltimore Ravens (+850) and Buffalo Bills (+1200), both of whom suffered playoff losses to the Chiefs. The odds position the Browns as the 10th-best among AFC teams, finishing behind the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ravens.
Some odd placements in the odds, such as the Cleveland Browns sharing the same +5000 odds with the Atlanta Falcons, who had a less impressive record in a weaker NFC South, have raised eyebrows among analysts. Despite the seemingly lower ranking, there’s still potential for a strong return on investment for those willing to bet on the Browns early in the season.
