Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard issued a strong warning to Penn State.
Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes managed to secure a gritty victory against the Nebraska Cornhuskers yesterday. This performance has raised some concerns as they prepare for next week’s road game against the No. 3 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.
After their recent loss to the Oregon Ducks, Ohio State needs to demonstrate their ability to defeat top contenders. A win against Penn State would serve as proof of their capability.
As for the Buckeyes’ quarterback, he has a personal motive for the upcoming game. Growing up in Pennsylvania, Howard was a devoted Nittany Lions fan and dreamed of playing college football there. Unfortunately, Penn State didn’t extend an offer to him. In light of this, Howard made a strong statement, sending a warning to his upcoming opponent after the victory over Nebraska.
“I’m really excited. I can’t wait. This will be like a homecoming for me. I grew up a Penn State fan and wanted to go there my entire life. They didn’t believe I was good enough. But we’ll find out next week if that was true.”
Defeating a team that overlooked him during recruitment would be the ultimate revenge for Howard. He is eager to show the Nittany Lions that they were wrong to doubt his abilities.
Howard’s journey to this point has been quite eventful. He experienced notable success before transferring to Ohio State, where he initially faced skepticism about being a potential weakness for the Buckeyes. However, he has become a key factor in the belief that Ohio State still has a shot at winning a national championship. So far this season, Howard has amassed 1,795 passing yards, along with 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. Additionally, he has contributed 91 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Next week will be intriguing to see how Howard performs against a strong Penn State football team. Leading the Buckeyes to victory would be an incredible achievement for him. With any luck, he’ll be fired up and prepared for the challenge. Ideally, he’ll take control of the game, dominate the Nittany Lions, and guide Ohio State to a significant win, reaffirming their status as one of the top teams in college football.
