Leeds United vs Chelsea FA Cup fifth-round tie confirmed with date, TV channel and stream
Leeds United’s opponents for the fifth round of the FA Cup have been officially confirmed. Daniel Farke’s team is set to face Chelsea in the upcoming round, following Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the fourth-round tie at Villa Park.
Leeds secured their spot in the next round with a 4-1 win against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night, requiring extra time to determine the winner. Goals from Wilfried Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Ritter, and a Ryan Hardle own goal secured their passage to the fifth round.
In the upcoming FA Cup fifth-round fixture, Leeds will once again be on the road, this time traveling to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.
Leading up to this FA Cup clash, Leeds will have four Championship games against Rotherham, Swansea City, Leicester City, and Plymouth. In the league table, they currently sit 12 points behind leaders Leicester and one point behind second-placed Southampton in the final automatic promotion spot.
The Chelsea vs. Leeds United match will be televised, with ITV 4 broadcasting it live. Additionally, the game will be available for streaming on ITVX. The complete FA Cup fifth-round draw includes matchups such as Coventry City vs. Maidstone United, Bournemouth vs. Leicester City, Blackburn Rovers vs. Newcastle United, Luton Town vs. Manchester City, Wolves vs. Brighton, Nottingham Forest vs. Manchester United, and Liverpool vs. Southampton.
