Hull FC handed huge Herman Ese’ese boost as prop cleared of verbal abuse
Herman Ese’ese, a forward for Hull FC, will not be appearing before a Rugby Football League tribunal on Tuesday night, as the accusation of verbal abuse against him has been “unequivocally dismissed.”
Ese’ese was scheduled to appear before a tribunal following the discovery of new material that led the Match Review Panel to accuse him of a serious Grade F offense. This would have resulted in a protracted suspension from the game and dealt a serious blow to Hull.
But the Black and Whites have announced that the charge against Ese’ese has been dropped. As a result, one of their most important and productive forwards, Victor Ese’ese, will be able to play this weekend against the Huddersfield Giants, as fresh, “compelling evidence” has surfaced to clear him.
“The RFL is happy to correct the record and ensure that it is publicly acknowledged that Herman is not guilty of any offence,” Hull said in a statement.
A professional sound engineer used the referee’s microphone to create an improved recording that is part of the new evidence. This evidence is strong and runs counter to the initial accusations.
“The RFL feels that all parties and the Match Review Panel have acted in good faith at all times, but it has expressed sympathy to the player and his club for the public nature of this process over the last two weeks.” The RFL is appreciative of Hull FC for realizing that significant complaints required an investigation.
In a brief statement released through the club, Ese’ese expressed his “overwhelming relief and gratitude that the truth has come out.” The club has also stated that both Ese’ese and them now want to concentrate on rugby.
“Hull FC has given Herman unwavering support throughout this process and is delighted with the RFL’s decision,” the statement read. In order to make sure that Herman and the Club get past this incredibly difficult time together, the Club will collaborate with Herman. Herman expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him and said he was “overwhelmed with relief and gratitude that the truth has come out.” Now, Herman and the group wish to concentrate on rugby.
Ese’ese has been a bright spot for the Black and Whites this season despite the fact that several of their off-season additions have already left or been loaned out. He is currently free from the threat of a ban thanks to his performances.
