Sky Sports’ new agreement with the EFL will see a minimum of 24 Derby County games broadcast live on television each season.

With the signing of the £935 million contract in April, Sky Sports will be able to stream over 1,000 EFL games the following season.Fans will be pleased to see the Rams promoted back to the Championship after the broadcaster promised to stream at least half of their games in the 2024–2025 season. There will be twenty live games for each League One team.

There will be television coverage of every match on the first weekend, last day, midweek, and bank holiday, including Easter, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

Every full weekend of EFL fixtures will feature ten live matches, starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. These matches will consist of three Championship, two League One, and two League Two matches. There will also be live broadcasts for all 127 EFL Trophy games, all 93 Carabao Cup games, and all 15 play-off games.

All games will have live commentary; however, unlike the red button experience of the past, viewers will be able to pause and rewind the comments. The games will air on one new channel, Sky Sports+. There will be at least eight cameras in every game.

On June 29, at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the fixture list will be revealed. Sky claims that all picks up until January will be confirmed prior to the start of the season, and that the television choices, times, and dates for games in August and September would be announced in early July.
