Bruins Announce Key Dates; Start Of Training Camp

Even though it’s just May, planning for the Boston Bruins’ 2024–25 regular season is never too early.
The Boston Bruins rookie camp will start on September 11 and the entire training camp will start one week later on September 18, according to a press statement issued by the team on Tuesday afternoon.
However, the Boston Bruins hockey operations staff will be busy until then, particularly in June. For the 2024 NHL Scouting Combine, the Buffalo Bruins executive team will be based from this coming Sunday to June 8. The Bruins hockey operations team and head coach Jim Montgomery will then go to Las Vegas at the end of the month to attend the June 28–29 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
Don Sweeney, general manager of the Boston Bruins, will speak to the media on June 27. Being one of the busiest general managers in the NHL trade market, is Sweeney likely to announce a pre-draft deal on that day? Or, will Sweeney reveal a new contract for Bruins goalkeeper Jeremy Swayman in Las Vegas if Swayman is still a restricted free agent?
The media will also hear from Sweeney or a representative of the Bruins’ hockey operations department during the NHL Draft’s first round on June 28 and again following rounds two through seven on June 29.
On July 1, Sweeney and the Bruins will have two hectic days in a row: the opening of the team’s development camp and the 2024 NHL Free Agency season. The duration of that camp is July 4.
