Travis Perry is reportedly close to announcing his final decision on Kentucky.
The most recent Mr. Kentucky Basketball winner is still considering his future in Lexington.
For the second year in a row, the Mr. Kentucky Basketball winner has committed to play for their hometown school, the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington.
Reed Sheppard had a stellar freshman season for Kentucky and has officially entered the NBA Draft.
Travis Perry, the most recent winner and State Champion, was initially committed to Kentucky, but with a change in head-coaching positions in Lexington, Perry is still deciding on his future, according to Adam Wells of WPSD.
According to the report, Perry was very grateful to be recognized by Mark Pope during his introductory press conference in front of a sold-out Rupp Arena.
“I definitely didn’t expect that. That was very cool. I was called out during a game earlier this year, and I didn’t think it could be topped.”
Perry has the opportunity to not only lead Kentucky, but also establish the Pope era in Lexington.
Perry has not made a final decision yet, but he will do so soon.
