The final day of the NFL Combine showcased offensive linemen, but unfortunately, some prospects, including Amarius Mims from Georgia, succumbed to injuries, possibly due to the 40-yard dash. Mims, initially feared to have suffered a leg cramp, provided an update on his condition, revealing a right hamstring injury. While uncertain about the severity, Mims remains optimistic and expresses a desire to continue testing and competing at the combine, currently undergoing treatment with ice on his hamstring.

The injury occurred during his second run attempt, overshadowing the attention his first 40-yard dash garnered, showcasing his remarkable athleticism for his size with an unofficial time of 5.07.

Mims, a highly regarded prospect expected to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, is known for his size and athleticism, positioning him as a potential franchise left tackle. His pro-ready skills were demonstrated during his time with the Georgia Bulldogs from 2021-2023. Despite the setback, Mims is scheduled for a pro day in late March, and there’s hope that his hamstring injury won’t hinder his participation. Regardless, anticipation remains high for Mims to be an early pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
