Trinity Camp Hill (Pennsylvania) running back Messiah Mickens received offers from various teams, including USC football, but ultimately chose to commit to the Penn State Nittany Lions. Although Mickens won’t be entering the college football scene until 2026, there remains a slim possibility for a change of heart.

Speculation about Mickens potentially considering USC football has gained some momentum following his recent visit. Mickens expressed positivity about the visit, highlighting his enjoyable conversations with Coach Kiel McDonald and Lincoln Riley, stating, “I love LA.”

While Mickens’ comments may be diplomatic, there is anticipation surrounding his future in football. USC football took the opportunity to pursue him with an offer, recognizing his status as one of the most anticipated talents in the coming seasons.

Apart from Penn State and USC football, Mickens had offers from schools such as Alabama Crimson Tide, Duke Blue Devils, Iowa State Cyclones, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas A&M Aggies, Virginia Tech Hokies, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

As of the current date, USC has secured three commitments for the 2026 season.
