AFL team selection: Blues go like for like

Carlton has made a lineup adjustment for Sunday’s highly anticipated match against longtime rival Essendon. Orazio Fantasia’s absence due to an AC joint sprain was confirmed on Thursday, prompting the inclusion of Corey Durdin in his position.

Durdin, who showcased a solid performance for the Carlton Reserves last week with 15 disposals and a goal, joins Jordan Boyd, Jack Carroll, the recently re-signed Lachie Fogarty, and George Hewett on the bench.

The final selection for the substitute player will be made an hour before the start of the game. Jaxon Binns, Caleb Marchbank, and Jesse Motlop have been listed as emergency players.

Notably, the match will mark George Hewett’s 50th appearance in Carlton’s colors. Additionally, Harry McKay has retained his spot in the lineup.
