Derby County
“Extremely significant,” according to Liam Thompson, he enjoys playing with the two Derby County “best players.”
Two Derby County players that Liam Thompson said he “truly loved” playing with yesterday have been named.
This weekend, Derby County blasted Leyton Orient, with Liam Thompson making just his second start since January.
After recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of action for more than three months during the first half of the season, the midfielder has found it difficult to get into the starting lineup.
Prior to receiving the start yesterday, Thompson spent some time on the bench following his start in the 1-0 loss at Northampton Town last month.
Thompson, 21, “ratted around” during the Pride Park triumph, making 27 touches, 14 passes completed, three tackles, and one interception. Derbyshire Live praised Thompson as “fantastic.”
The young athlete has identified the two “best players” he truly loved playing with this weekend, although he was one of many players who had a strong performance on home soil.
Playing with two “great players” was a joy for Liam Thompson.
In an interview on the official club website, Thompson stated: “I had a great time.” Both of them are elite athletes.
“Korey Smith is the cool guy in there who talks to you all the time, and Ebou Adams is the one that is always there and brings quality.” We were touching second balls, which turned out to be crucial. Playing in there with those two was incredibly fun for me.
