Major injury boost for Liverpool as star player expected to be available for Brighton match
Darwin Nunez should be ready to play at the end of the month against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The South American striker appeared to have a minor hamstring issue last Saturday, despite playing the whole 120 minutes against Manchester United in the thrilling FA Cup quarterfinal.
The striker was required to withdraw from the Uruguayan team due to persistent “discomfort” in his leg, even though Marcelo Bielsa had summoned him up to play for his country during the interim international break.
Darwin Nunez, a “confident” Liverpool player, is fit to play against Brighton.
Nunez, 24, is currently back with Liverpool and is reportedly still recovering, per a recent Football Insider article.
The Liverpool medical team is reportedly “confident” that Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls would select their number nine, putting them “in contention” for the match.
Nunez’s imminent availability will surely please Klopp, who knows his team can win and go back to the top of the standings, especially with Manchester City playing leaders Arsenal later in the day.

Despite having a fantastic individual season, the Uruguayan international’s record versus Brighton isn’t the best.
The forward’s only action versus the Seagulls has been an assist during their August 2017 meeting; he has yet to score.
When De Zerbi’s eighth-place Seagulls visit Anfield on Easter Sunday, Klopp and the rest of Liverpool’s supporters will be hoping the flashy striker can better his individual record.
