Michael Fasusi, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound five-star offensive tackle from Lewisville, TX, has become a focal point in the college football recruiting scene. Despite still being in his high school senior season, he has received nearly 40 offers from top-tier programs across the country, including Alabama, Texas A&M, Missouri, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Tennessee.

According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, Oklahoma and Texas are currently the frontrunners for Fasusi’s commitment. Both schools have been actively pursuing him, and he has visited them more than any others, attending game days at both Oklahoma and Texas during the past fall. Fasusi is expected to make additional visits in 2024.

In the recruitment process, the relationships built with positional coaches often play a crucial role. Fasusi will have to decide between two highly regarded assistants: Oklahoma’s offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, a legend in his position, and Texas’ offensive coordinator and line coach Kyle Flood, who is also highly esteemed.

As the decision-making process unfolds, it is anticipated that the battle for Fasusi’s commitment will primarily involve Oklahoma and Texas, with Kyle Flood and Bill Bedenbaugh going head to head. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Fasusi is currently ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 15 overall recruit.
