SUNDERLAND
£4m Sunderland flop has now scored 25 goals this season, he scored in 60 seconds on Tuesday night
Grigg admitted afterwards that he ought never to have left Wigan.
Off-field scandals and unrest plagued him during his time at Sunderland, and the COVID-19 outbreak forced the team to cease play.
Grigg appeared to have withered away as a result of these problems, which took the wind out of his sails at a time when Sunderland was under intense pressure to exit League One.
However, he has regained his scoring ability.
His Chesterfield team is having an extraordinary season in the fifth division, and they can undoubtedly return to the Football League before the next campaign thanks to Grigg’s goals.
Given his track record of success, it’s possible that Grigg will continue to score goals in the Football League the next season.
As for Sunderland, Mike Dodds and company are in dire need of a striker with Grigg’s caliber of play, so they’re suddenly looking to rack up points to secure their spot in the Championship.
