FAYETTEVILLE — Eric Musselman’s shell-shocked despair appeared evident on TV during his Razorbacks’ 95-74 loss Saturday to LSU in Baton Rouge. Surely this week will have Arkansas websites scurrying to find escape hatch links to other 2024-25 head coaching opportunities.

After a very busy transfer portal season for head coach Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks, the dust has settled and it is time to look ahead to spring football. While there are still positions of need for the Hogs, they will have to wait until after the spring semester to address those.

As of now, HawgBeat has the Hogs sitting with 84 scholarship players for the projected 2024 roster, which includes all transfer and freshmen signees.

New offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino has fresh faces to work with at important positions, but the talent is there for the esteemed playcaller to drastically improve an Arkansas offense that roamed the bottom of the SEC basement in scoring during the 2023 campaign.

Here is a too early look at how HawgBeat projects the offensive depth chart to look for spring football. We have a three-deep projection at each position, notes/tidbits on some decisions made and a post-spring starter prediction.

Note: HawgBeat’s projected depth chart is not a player power ranking, but our best guess at what the Hogs will do to open up spring practice. Arkansas has not typically immediately started newcomers during Pittman’s tenure.
