Hibs FC manager Nick Montgomery has clarified that no decisions have been made regarding the futures of long-serving players Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson. Both players, who are Scottish Cup-winning legends for the club, are set to be out of contract this summer. Recent reports suggested that club captain Hanlon might lead an exodus from Easter Road at the end of the season, as the club aims to reduce the average age of the first-team squad, with veterans David Marshall and Adam Le Fondre also nearing the end of their contracts.
However, Montgomery emphasized that discussions regarding the futures of out-of-contract players like Hanlon and Stevenson have not yet taken place. While acknowledging that some players may be playing for a new deal, Montgomery stated that no concrete decisions have been made and that discussions will likely occur in the coming months.
Hibs will resume Premiership action with a match against top-six rivals Aberdeen at Pittodrie tomorrow.
