Jonjo Shelvey joined Çaykur Rizespor on loan last September, with Nottingham Forest allowing him to stay until the end of the current campaign.

Hasan Yavuz Bakır, a board member and spokesman for Çaykur Rizespor, stated a month later that his team is under no need or responsibility to extend the midfielder’s stay.

Additionally, he had emphasized that the Turkish team would have a meeting with Nottingham Forest to discuss the likelihood of the 32-year-old staying past this season.

Go back to May and Hasan. Once more, Yavuz Bakır has discussed Shelvey’s future, and Ajanspor has echoed his remarks.

The midfielder was not part of Steve Cooper’s early season plans at Nottingham Forest, where he held the position until December. This persuaded him to sign a loan with Çaykur Rizespor, and he is glad he did.

In his thirty appearances across all competitions, the former Newcastle United player has recorded seven assists and two goals.

The club is happy with the Nottingham Forest player’s performances, according to Hasan Yavuz Bakır, a member of Çaykur Rizespor’s board of directors.

“We are pleased with Jonjo Shelvey’s performance in Rize, and Shelvey is delighted with the role. Shelvey’s deal with Nottingham Forest, his team, is still in effect, nevertheless. We will include Shelvey in our squad if the necessary funds become available,” he declared.
