likely to depart Ibrox this summer after Philippe Clement passed him over one more in spite of the Rangers’ injury concerns.

Raskin and John Lundstram were the manager’s only two fit natural central midfielders after Mohammed Diomande and Ryan Jack were both injured and left the squad for the 3-2 loss to Ross County.

However, since Clement joined the team earlier this season, Raskin has become less and less of a starter, and this time around, Kieran Dowell was chosen to start in place of Raskin in midfield.

Raskin has also been benched a few times this season, with natural striker Tom Lawrence and full-back Dujon Sterling being played in his place.

Will Nicolas Raskin be leaving the Rangers?

The 23-year-old has just made two starts since February, so it’s obvious that this won’t satisfy his desire for frequent football play.

He made two starts in the Scottish Cup, the first in the team’s 2-0 victory over Ayr and the most recent one, a month later at Ibrox in a 2-1 loss to Motherwell which saw him hooked at the half.

Raskin has only appeared in three games after that substitution, all coming off the bench, for a total of 21 minutes of play (per WhoScored).

Given that both Ryan Jack and John Lundstram have contracts expiring, the club will undoubtedly be looking to add players to their midfield. The summer transfer window is quickly approaching. However, there’s a good chance Raskin may consider moving on as well.

Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin

The Rangers have not been kind to Nico Raskin.

He is currently too old to play for the Belgium Under-21 team, but this season offered him a genuine opportunity to establish himself on the national team ahead of the summer’s European Championships. But after a disappointing season in Scotland, he isn’t even on anyone’s radar anymore.

Given his lack of activity in recent months, Clement doesn’t seem to have him in his plans, so if that’s the case, the team may try to cash in and utilize the proceeds to boost the roster in other areas.

After Michael Beale first brought him in, Raskin was a fan favorite, but his stock has declined and it now appears likely that he will leave Ibrox.
