The Only Things – Hibernian Star Admits Two City Complaints
The star of Hibernians, Jair Tavares, listed his two grievances with Edinburgh but emphasized that he is content to live there.
In 2022, Hibernian signed the Portuguese winger, who had come through Benfica’s youth, on a four-year contract.
In his first season with Hibs, Tavares found it difficult to accumulate playing time; however, this season, he has appeared in 25 games across all competitions.
The Hibs forward said he is loving life in Edinburgh even though it is very different from his hometown of Lisbon.
However, Taveres highlighted two issues: the temperature and the food, which were both cooler than in Portugal and distinct from each other.
Quite unlike my dear Lisbon, which I discovered was the greatest city on Earth only after I departed.
“It’s a very lovely city with a high quality of life; the only things that “depress” me here are the weather and the food.”
After the international break, Hibs will play their first game back at Ibrox against Rangers. The following two games will be against St Johnstone and Motherwell.
