Striker who Birmingham City almost signed on deadline day transfer-listed by League One rivals

Peterborough United have transfer-listed striker Kabongo Tshimanga two years after his failed move to Birmingham City.
Tshimanga’s potential transfer to Birmingham City was thwarted by an ankle issue discovered during his medical examination. Despite his prolific performance for National League side Chesterfield, scoring 24 goals in 27 matches, Tshimanga’s move to Birmingham City didn’t materialize due to concerns about his ankle.
Reflecting on his experience, Tshimanga expressed his apprehension about the move, saying, “That day was crazy. Ever since that day, transfer deadline day moves, I don’t wish that on anybody.”
After the failed move to Birmingham City, Tshimanga continued to perform well in the National League until January when Peterborough United signed him. However, he struggled to replicate his previous success at Peterborough, having a fruitless loan spell with Fleetwood Town and a stint at Boreham Wood.
As a result, Peterborough United has decided to transfer-list Tshimanga. Additionally, the club has released Jonson Clarke-Harris, another prolific striker, at the end of his contract.
