Barry Bannan, the esteemed captain of the Owls, has once again been honored by the Wednesday faithful. This time, he clinched the Wise Old Owls Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season, marking a notable addition to his illustrious career at Hillsborough.

The announcement was made on the club’s official website, highlighting Bannan’s enduring impact on the team and the ardent support he enjoys from the fanbase. At the annual awards dinner hosted by the long-standing supporters’ group, Bannan was presented with the coveted trophy by WOO Chairman John Gilling. The presence of manager Danny Röhl and first-team performance manager Sascha Lense further embellished the occasion, providing an opportunity for interaction with the supporters.
