The Pittsburgh Steelers have made significant roster changes this offseason in an attempt to catch the AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens.

After completely overhauling the quarterback room and acquiring Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, the Steelers are reportedly looking to add at least one more wide receiver to their arsenal.

According to NFL insider Benjamin Allbright, the Pittsburgh Steelers could be interested in acquiring San Francisco 49ers wideout Brandon Aiyuk.

Aiyuk is due for a big payday and is already unhappy with his contract situation as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. He’s had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in San Francisco and expected to hear from 49ers officials about an extension by now.

He recently unfollowed San Francisco on social media, as is now customary when a player wishes to make a statement to his team.

“I’m trying to get what I deserve,” the San Francisco wide receiver recently said while appearing on “Nightcap” with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. “I feel like this season playing football, I figured out who I was as a person and a player—what I bring to the table, what I bring to the locker room.

“If they don’t see the worth in that, that’s all it is,” he said. “There’s nothing else besides that. I can’t get into it. We have professionals working on both sides, so hopefully we can reach an agreement to continue playing professional football.”

Aiyuk’s agent denied this on X on Sunday morning, writing, “You need better sources.”
