Derby County is happy to announce that PUMA, one of the most recognizable and prominent sports companies in the world, will reappear as the club’s official kit and training wear partner after a little over 20-year break.

In a multifaceted long-term agreement, Puma will co-design, produce, and supply the training wear and matchday kit for the Derby County Women’s and Men’s First Teams, Academy, and Derby County Community Trust starting with the 2024–2025 season. As part of the partnership, Puma will also collaborate on the design, production, and distribution of many lines of co-branded sportswear for fans.

More details will be released once the current season concludes. Derby’s 2024–2025 Home Kit will be unveiled and go on sale in June 2024. Prior to the upcoming campaign, the club will unveil and sell their Third Kit, Away Kit, and Training Wear.

Between 1995 and 2001—a pivotal point in the club’s history when Derby earned promotion to the top division and moved from the Baseball Ground to Pride Park Stadium—PUMA enjoyed a good working relationship with the team.

Stephen Pearce, the CEO of Derby County, stated: “We are incredibly thrilled to be teaming with PUMA once again.

“With the help of our online and in-store retail partner, Fanatics, PUMA, a globally recognized and incredibly successful sports brand, will offer a wide range of high-quality and innovative products, including—and this is crucial—bespoke kits that are thoughtfully and especially created for our players and supporters.

“PUMA is one of the most well-known brands in football and has an envied and well-deserved reputation for operating at the forefront of sports and leisure gear. Some of the most recognizable uniforms worn by well-known Derby County alumni, such as Igor Stimac, Stefano Eranio, Dean Sturridge, Francesco Baiano, Jacob Laursen, and Mart Poom, already have its name and image.

Additionally, Paulo Wanchope’s historic goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford on his club debut in 1997, as well as the incredible promotion season led by the late Jim Smith in 1996.”

PUMA is currently the Official Match Ball Supplier of the EFL and represents Italian powerhouse AC Milan, German team Borussia Dortmund, and Premier League and European winners Manchester City.

According to Jamie Oakes, the Professional Football Account Manager at PUMA, the company is thrilled to be returning to Derby County as its official partner for training wear and kits.

‘’The Puma family has a very special spot reserved for this club. Since this is one of the brand’s most recognizable and memorable relationships in the UK, we are thrilled to be making a comeback to the Rams and making more history with some amazing and ground-breaking merchandise.

“We look forward to engaging and energizing the Derby faithful by producing some amazing products that play a small part in what is going to be an amazing upward journey for the club. We are fortunate to be synonymous with some of the most iconic jerseys worn by some legends at a great time for the club.”
