Eddie Howe praised Joelinton, Miguel Almiron, and Nick Pope for their “incredible” comebacks as Newcastle United defeated Burnley 4-1.

The game ended with goals from Callum Wilson, Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimaraes, and Alexander Isak putting The Magpies ahead 4-0. Joelinton and Almiron then came off the bench. Burnley managed a late comeback by Dara O’Shea, but Newcastle advanced to sixth place in the Premier League.

Howe stated, “It’s significant for us and that [the injuries] are something that has really cost us during the season,” in response to the injury returns.

“To be eager to play and possess that quality.” In order to properly load those two players, I must also take care of them; I must make the appropriate choices and introduce them at the appropriate periods.

“There is no questioning their quality or their impact on the squad. I believe that the group became much stronger because of their presence during the pregame.

As they attempt to reclaim their spots in the starting lineup for the next three games, all three players will be evaluated throughout training.

Howe continued, “It always depends on the games, but my idea was to maybe give the two outfield players 15, 20 minutes today.” “They made the appropriate progression, and we’ll watch how they train this week.”
