Emmanuel Danso is “one of the best I’ve ever played with,” according to Mohammed Kudus, who also recommended that West Ham sign him.

Like Kudus, Danso, a 23-year-old deep-lying center midfielder for Stromgodset in the Norwegian first division, is a native of Ghana.

Kudus extolled the virtues of his countryman and expressed his belief that the midfielder will soon become well-known.

You don’t know him yet, but you will soon get to know him, he responded when asked about the finest player he has ever played with on Sky Sports. My name is Emmanuel Danso.

“He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with. I played with him back in Ghana when I was younger.” Though I’ve played with many other guys, he’s the real deal—he’s about my age.

He is a number six defensive midfielder who can pass and use both feet. I have loved him forever.

When asked if he thought West Ham should sign Danso, he responded, “All right, [the press officer] is hearing it, let’s get the conversation outside, yeah!”

Is it wise for West Ham to sign Emmanuel Danso?

Kudus, who has personally adjusted really well to life in the Premier League after moving from Ajax and has already recorded seven goals and four assists in his debut season, has undoubtedly given Danso high marks.

The quality of the Stromgodset midfielder is hard to assess at this point in his career because, despite joining the Norwegian top division on a free transfer from Lyon’s B team in the summer of 2022, he has not yet established himself as a regular starter at the club. He has played in just 20 games for a total of 745 minutes.

The 23-year-old will undoubtedly need more consistent playing time if he hopes to catch the interest of a Premier League team like West Ham, but if his talent is as strong as Kudus claims it is, it will ultimately show.

After Kalvin Phillips’ loan term expires this summer, West Ham will be searching for holding midfield players. Should Danso make an impression before the summer transfer window closes, he might be the exact man the Hammers are searching for.

Despite Mohammed Kudus’ recommendation, it’s improbable that West Ham United will immediately pursue a transfer for a player who isn’t currently a regular starter in Norway. However, they may opt to monitor his progress closely for potential future opportunities.
