With three Championship games remaining, Rotherham is merely biding their time as their relegation to League One is already official. The Millers are now preparing for a new beginning rather than scrounging for survival.

Today, April 17, a significant shift occurred at New York Stadium as Steve Evans returned to the position of manager after leaving his position at Stevenage.

Here’s an early look at the Techopedia favorites to join Rotherham in the summer window as the Millers prepare for a summer of change.

Tom Bradshaw – 3/1

Bradshaw, an accomplished marksman at the EFL level, has been a Millwall employee since 2019. This season, he has made 31 league appearances for the Lions, however he has only scored four goals.

Jack’s price: 11/2

After almost six years in the USA with Colorado Rapids, the midfielder made his comeback to English football last month when he signed with Shrewsbury Town.

Marcel Oakley (8/1)

In 2021, Oakley got his first professional deal with Birmingham City, however he hasn’t yet broken through to the senior team. Following two loan stints in Scotland, a drop down the EFL ladder would be advantageous.

Humphrys Stephen – 8/1

This season, the forward has been a vital member of Wigan Athletic, tallying nine goals in 38 league games.

Billy Sharp (9/1)

Sharp, an EFL veteran, has not had the impact supporters had hoped for him at Hull City. The frontman would bring a plethora of expertise to the Millers team at the age of 38.

Shaun Rooney (10/1)

Rooney arrived at Fleetwood Town in 2022, having formerly resided in York City. The defender has been in and out of the Fleetwood team this season, so a summer transfer would be desirable.

12/1 Jamie Shackleton

Shackleton, a bit player at Leeds, would give the Rotherham team more vitality and adaptability. But if Leeds determined he was surplus to requirements, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Championship clubs make a move for him. The 24-year-old’s contract expires at the conclusion of the season, thus he might become a free agent.

Liam Kelly (12/1)

Kelly, a midfielder with a wealth of experience, has been with Coventry City since 2017, although he is no longer a vital member of the Sky Blues. He might provide a League One midfield with a wise injection of experience.

Harris-Jonson Clarke – 16/1

The forward has a track record of success in League One, but for the past 12 months, there has been conjecture about his future at Peterborough United. He was a member of the Millers’ roster for four years, from 2014 to 2018, therefore he is also familiar with them.
