If Derby County wants to re-sign Ebou Adams during this summer’s transfer window, they will need to come to an equitable agreement with Cardiff City.

Erol Bulut, the manager of the Bluebirds, says he has complimented the midfield player for his contribution to the Rams’ return to the Championship this season.

Adams signed a contract with Cardiff in the summer of 2022 after leaving Fores Green Rovers. But injuries later severely limited his time in the capital of Wales.

Since the 28-year-old has played for the team in very few games, the January transfer window permitted him to sign with Derby County on loan until the end of the season.

Adams ended up playing a major role for the Rams in the second half of the season, which helped them secure automatic promotion from League One back to the Championship. That move proved to be a huge success.

Following that, there seems to be a great desire in Derby to permanently return the midfield player to Pride Park during the summer transfer window.

Adams’ midfielder, Cardiff, would reportedly demand twice that amount to sell Adams, despite the Rams reportedly preparing a £250,000 bid for him.

Now, it appears that Bulut is insistent that, should a deal work out for Cardiff, the Gambia international will only be moving permanently this summer.

Bulut’s forced clarification of Adams’s condition is maybe not surprising, considering the significance of those statements.

The defender has frequently been mentioned in connection with a move to the Amex Stadium.

However, after witnessing his actions at Pride Park, people might now be aware of his full potential.

Therefore, they should want to ensure that the financial gain from trading in a brilliant player is worth it if they are willing to let him go without fully utilizing his potential on the field.

Considering everything, this could become a story that takes some time to finish before Adams’s future at Derby or Cardiff is settled.
