Black Knight Football Club (BKFC), led by William P. Foley, II and primarily owned by Cannae Holdings, Inc., has reached an agreement in principle to form a strategic partnership and acquire a minority ownership stake in The Hibernian Football Club Limited (Hibernian FC), a Scottish Premiership football club based in Edinburgh.

This investment, the first multi-club investment approved by the Scottish Football Association, aligns with BKFC’s strategy of multi-club ownership. BKFC already owns A.F.C. Bournemouth in the English Premier League and holds a significant minority investment in FC Lorient, a French Ligue 1 club.

The partnership aims to leverage operational synergies, expedite player development, facilitate player migration across the network, and drive on-field and financial success.

William P. Foley, II, expressed enthusiasm for the strategic partnership with Hibernian FC, emphasizing their commitment to investing in player development and infrastructure to elevate both BKFC and Hibernian FC.

The Gordon family, owners of Hibernian FC, shared their excitement about the partnership, highlighting the alignment of values and ambitions between the two entities. Hibernian FC, a prominent team in the Scottish Premiership, has a rich history in Scottish football, and the partnership is poised to contribute to the growth and success of both BKFC and Hibernian FC.
