West Bromwich Albion
Is this what the weekend is all about? “A true lightning strike!”
Alright Yokuslu called his thundering Sunday afternoon strike against Huddersfield Town the ideal late birthday gift.
On Saturday, the Turkish midfielder celebrated his 30th birthday. He scored Albion’s third goal in the team’s 4-1 victory at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Yokuslu maintains that he knew it was in as soon as he hit it and considers it to be a pivotal point in the interaction.
“I was on the edge of the box, so when Mikey started to dribble, I believed an opportunity could come my way,” the man stated.
“I was quite positive it was going to go in the instant I struck it.
It was undoubtedly one of my best goals to date. It was a really nice goal.
“Actually, the biggest thing for me was relief since we knew the game would get easier for us after the third goal.
It was a wonderful occasion. For myself and the team, I was ecstatic.
“We discussed how we could better manage the game, like winning second balls, after we battled in the first half.
“At the interval, we all discussed how we could improve, and in the second half, we performed much better.
“It was the ideal present for me because it was my birthday yesterday.”
