Matheus Cunha is the talk of every Wolves fan right now after his outstanding performance, which saw him score two goals and provide an assist in a remarkable 4-1 victory away at Fulham.

The attacker’s brilliant display was crucial in leading Gary O’Neil’s side to one of their most memorable comebacks, overturning a 1-0 deficit to secure a dominant 4-1 win at Craven Cottage.

Cunha was at the heart of the performance, completely taking control of the game against the London side. His opening goal was a thing of beauty, reminiscent of prime Dennis Bergkamp, as he delicately chipped the Fulham goalkeeper to equalize.

After that, Cunha provided the assist for Joao Gomes to give Wolves the lead, before scoring a stunning wondergoal to complete his brace for the night. As a result, Cunha has now become only the second player in Wolves’ history to reach a significant Premier League milestone with the club.

Matheus Cunha is the second Wolves player to record 20+ goals and 10+ assists in the Premier League.

Thanks to Cunha’s impressive performance, his record has further improved this season. Currently, the Brazilian has scored seven goals and provided three assists in just 12 Premier League appearances so far this campaign.

Overall, Cunha has now scored 21 goals for Wolves in the Premier League, along with 10 assists.

The only other player to reach this milestone for the club is Raul Jimenez, who recorded 40 goals and 14 assists in the top flight. Cunha has also climbed to third place in Wolves’ all-time Premier League top scorers, now just one goal behind second-place Steven Fletcher, who has 22 goals.

Matheus Cunha could become Wolves’ first £100 million player.

It’s safe to say that Cunha is currently Wolves’ standout player. The attacker is exceptional with the ball at his feet and has the ability to create goals from seemingly impossible situations.

Whether Wolves manage to stay in the Premier League or not, top clubs will certainly be monitoring the Brazilian if he continues his impressive form.

If Wolves do remain in the top flight, they could demand a significant transfer fee for Cunha.

The forward appears content at Wolves and is enjoying the best form of his career. With his contract running until 2027, the club has him tied down for several more years. Given the previous sales of Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves, Cunha would likely break records if he were to leave Wolves in the near future.
